Calçotada a Cal Ganxo - Valls
An ideal route to discover Valls on foot: stroll along Passeig de l’Estació, buy sweets or local fruit, stop at the Pati for a photo of the bell tower, enjoy a good vermouth at Magatzem del Vermut, and finish with a meal at Cal Ganxo.

Arriving in Valls and letting yourself go is part of the magic of this route, designed to be enjoyed at a relaxed pace. The itinerary begins at Passeig de l’Estació, a calm gateway into the city that invites you to walk and start connecting with the local atmosphere. The first stop is a sweet one: Dolça Fantasia, where you can pick up some artisanal cookies that are simply irresistible. If you prefer something fresher, Fruites Ramona offers quality fruit, perfect for continuing the walk with a good taste in your mouth. With renewed energy, the path takes you to Plaça del Pati, one of Valls’ most emblematic spots. Here it is a must to look up and capture a photo of its iconic bell tower, one of the city’s symbols. Around lunchtime, your body is ready for a proper break. It’s the perfect time for vermouth at Magatzem del Vermut, where you can enjoy an authentic atmosphere with tapas, gildas, bravas, torreznos and, of course, a good vermouth (if possible, Montseta 😉). And with body and soul content, the route ends with a great meal at Cal Ganxo, one of the area’s main references for enjoying local gastronomy, especially if you want to round off the experience with a proper calçotada. A simple route, but perfect for experiencing Valls as it should be: walking, tasting and enjoying.
